I designed a voter registration app for the ArtPrize competition in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Allowing users to quickly register to vote for their choice of winners, the app was loaded on to tablet devices at event locations around the city. Held over a period of three weeks every fall – the winners of ArtPrize are determined by a public vote.
Working with developers on the ArtPrize team we designed and produced the app to ease the registration process at the event. We collaborated to design a user flow to allow users to independently register and verify themselves through a code sent via SMS. Users who couldn't complete the online process were directed to locations where they could register via an interactive map.
The initial prototypes I produced were user tested locally by the ArtPrize team for feedback. I then created the final designs incorporating the branding for that years' event alongside the user interface screens, in HTML and CSS, and handed this over for production of the final app.
