I gave a presentation to the product, design and engineering team at Purplebricks about Using Auto Layout in Figma. This was part of a series of regular talks to encourage sharing of knowledge amongst colleagues.

It was aimed at both designer and front-end engineers and covered topics including:

• The basics of how to use Auto Layout

• How Figma works under the hood

• The similarities between Auto Layout and CSS layout techniques like Flexbox

• Benefits, tricks and tips about using Auto Layout

I recently gave a talk to the digital team at Purplebricks to highlight the considerations we go through when designing for accessibility. This was part of a regular series of talks to share knowledge with colleagues from different disciplines across the business. The talk included:

• An overview of what we mean when we talk about accessibility

• The considerations when designing for accessibility

• Practical examples to show how factors like size, contrast, colour and language are all important for ensuring good accessibility
